Joey Charboneauhttps://bios.inl.gov/Lists/Researcher/DisplayOverrideForm.aspx?ID=430Joey Charboneau Joey joined Idaho National Laboratory in 2011 as a scientist at the Materials and Fuels Complex Analytical Research Laboratory. While at the lab, Joey has designed experiments and performed work in hot cells, gloveboxes, and radiological hoods throughout the Analytical Research Laboratory (ARL). Joey has a wide variety of experience including working on projects in radiochemistry, molten salt chemistry, PIE, gas analysis, and hydrogen analysis. He has designed and uses several gas systems in the ARL including the hot cell corrosive gas introduction systems, hot cell gas mixing manifolds, entrained gas collection system and MEDE manifold. Joey is currently working on improving the laboratories gas and light element analysis capabilities with the installation and qualification of new instrumentation for these analyses.

B.S. in Chemistry, University of Idaho, 2007
M.S. in Chemistry, University of Idaho, 2009

Analytical chemistry, radiochemistry, molten salt chemistry, mass spectrometry, gas analysis, statistical analysis, hydrogen analysis, and fission product and burn up analysis of nuclear fuels. <span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":160,"335559740":240}">

<span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":160,"335559740":240}">

Joey has worked on several projects requiring the development of special gas systems used in nuclear research experiments and processes.
